Abstract
Objective To analyze the intragastric bile reflux in aged people with different groups. Methods The changes of intragastric bile reflux during 24h were assessed by using ambulatory bilirubin monitoring techniques in 67 aged people(including 24 normal subjects,33 cases with reflux symptom,10 cases post gastrectomy). Analyzing the total time percentages of intragastric bile reflux, reflux areas, indexs of reflux area and average values of bilirubin in different groups. Results The total time percentages of intragastric bile reflux, reflux areas, indexs of reflux area and average values of bilirubin were significantly greater in patients with reflux symptom and post gastrectomy than those in normal subjects. There is no significantly different between patients with reflux symptom and patients with gastrectomy. Conclusions The patients with reflux symptoms and post gastrectomy showed significantly higher index of bilirubin reflux monitoring than those of patients without reflux symptoms.
