Abstract
Objective To analyze geneotype of AmpC β-lactamases and investigate the resistance mechanism of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Methods The clinical isolates harboring AmpC β-lactamases were detected by disk diffusing test and three-dimensional technique. Transformation and PCR were preformed to determine the phenotype and genotype of AmpC β-lactamases. Results Three isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae produced DHA-1 AmpC β-lactamases which were inducible. Conclusions A plasmid-mediated ampC gene, bla DHA-1 was first discovered in Klebsiella pneumoniae clinical isolates in China.
