Abstract

Objective To evaluate the accuracy of MSCTA in demonstration of hepatic arterial anatomy compared with the operation. Methods Thirty-one hepatic arteries were evaluated based on MSCTA before liver transplantation, which was followed by the observation of hepatic arterial anatomy during the operation. Results Thirty cases were evaluated by MSCTA correctly among thirty-one patients. Compared with operative results, the accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value of MSCTA in evaluation of hepatic artery were 96.8%,91.7%, 100%, 100%, 95% respectively. In addition, MSCTA displayed the other main abdominal arteries clearly. Conclusion MSCTA is effective for evaluation of hepatic arterial anatomy and the other main abdominal arteries.
