Abstract
Normally, people adopt super big module and fewer teeth for the jacking pinion design. However, currently there is no authorized theory and relevant standard for its fatigue life and strength analysis.According to ANSI/AGMA 2001-D04 and based on method of S-N curve of material, the allowable stresses for the pitting and bending were worked out as the criteria in the design. In addition,FEM(Finite Element Method) was adopted to calculate the static stresses of contacting and bending of the teeth. Therefore, the study provides a practical way and criterion to design the super big module jacking pinion.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
