Abstract
In this paper, based on the analysis of climatic and energy consumption characteristics of residential buildings in Yangtze River and the discussions on the adaptation of envelope insulation measures, the software of DeST was used to simulate the energy consumption of a typical energy-saving residential building in Shanghai. The effects of various envelope insulation measures on energy-saving rates for heating system,air-conditioning system and annual total energy consumption were compared. As a result,an optimistic energy-saving measure for building envelope in Shanghai was obtained,it could be considered as a reference for the energy-saving design for residential buildings.
