Abstract
The effects of size and amount of carbon black filler on the bound rubber content, damping properties, mechanical properties of sulfur vulcanized natural rubber / isoprene rubber / butadiene rubber( mass ratio 50 /30 /20) high damping rubber with wide temperature range were studied. The results showed that the bigger the carbon black size, the less the bound rubber content, the bigger the maximal value of the loss factor, and the better the damping properties of the rubber blend vulcanizates. The tensile strength, elongation at break and Shore A hardness of the vulcanizates decreased with increasing the particle size of carbon black, while the tensile strength, elongation at break and Shore A hardness increased with the increase of carbon black content when carbon black having the same size was filled.
