Abstract

Objective To explore the impairment of executive function in patients with traumatic brain injury in frontal lobe and temporal lobe. Methods 120 patients with traumatic brain injury who have been hospitalized after 15 to 30 days and and 104 health people in control group were tested of executive function by CDT and WCST.Results The scores on CC、 RPE and RFP of WCST and CDT in frontal lobe and temporal lobe group were significantly lower than those in control group,The scores on RE、RF、RP、NRPE of WCST in frontal lobe and temporal lobe group were significantly higher than those in control group(P 0.05);The scores on CC of WCST and CDT in frontal lobe group were significantly lower than those in temporal lobe group,The scores on RE,RF,RP,NRPE of WCST in frontal lobe group were significantly higher than those in temporal lobe group(P 0.05);The scores on CC、RPE、RF of WCST in right frontal lobe group were significantly lower than those in left frontal lobe group(P 0.05).Conclusion There were executive dysfunction in patients with traumatic brain injury in frontal lobe and temporal lobe, and the impairment of frontal lobe may be more serious. The right frontal lobe group impairment is more serious than the left frontal lobe group.
