Treatment of acute gouty arthritis with shuijingdan

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of applying ShuiJingDan in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis.Methods 135 Paitients acute gouty arthritis were random classified intotwogroups.Give the two groups the same basic-treatment:low-fat and low purine diet,brake,alkalization urine.Patients in study group were treated with applying ShuiJingDan once a day,the control group with oral Indomethaci after The three meals.Ten day is the one course of treatment.Results All the 135 case received the treatment.The swelling,pain and function assessment of study group were obvious superior to those of control one(P0.05).There were more side-effects in control group(P0.01).Conclusion SuiJingDan alleviate the osteoarticular inflammatory response in acute occurrence of arthrolithiasia effectively and safely.There was no evidence on ShuiJingDan decreasing uric acid in blood.
