Serum levels of TNF-α in the patients with hematologic malignancy and its clinical significance

Abstract

Objective To observe the changes of serum levels of TNFa in patients with hematologic malignancy and study its clinical significance.Methods Serum levels of TNF α is 40 patients with hematologic malignancy were examined.Results The serum levels of TNF α in patiests with hematologic malignancy were significantly higher as compared with those in control group.observing dynamically the changes of TNF α in patients with acute leukemia during different phases showed that the TNF α levels in the patients were elevated when they were first treated,during the periods of non remission and when they had a relapse whereas the TNF α levels went down during the periods of remission.. Conclusion The changes of TNF α may be served as a means to observe the condition of the patients with hematologic malignancy.
