Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of resveratrol on ischemia-reperfusion injury in limbs of atherosclerosis in rabbits, and to assess the protection of resveratrol for ischemia-reperfusion injury.Method After high-fat diet, twelve healthy rabbits were divided into sham operation group, resveratrol group and ischemia-reperfusion injury group.Resveratrol [10 mg/(kg·d)]was injected,5 h later ischemia followed by reperfusion in resveratrol group and no resveratrol was used in ischemia-reperfusion injury group. The contents of CK,LDH,MDA and SOD in the serum and MDA,SOD in the muscle were measured respectively and the difference was studied. Results CK,LDH in the serum were significantly lower and SOD was significantly higher in ischemia-reperfusion injury group than that in resveratrol group(P0.05).Conclusion Resveratrol can reduce the extent of damage caused by ischemia-reperfusion injury.
