Research on Spatial Discrepancy of Regional Innovation Efficiency and its Influencing Factors——Based on Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing Economic Zone

Abstract

The paper calculates the regional innovation efficiency in Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing economic zone and analyzes its spatial discrepancy with Stochastic Frontier Approach(SFA).The result shows that the spaial discrepancy is evident,and the regional innovation efficiency in Guangzhou and Foshan is higher than that in Zhaoqing.The promotion role of RD labor input to regional innovation efficiency is higher than RD capital input.The empirical result also shows that regional ownership structure,regional infrastructure,support to the innovation by government and regional opening degree have a positive effect on the regional innovation efficiency,whereas the relationship between regional industry structure and regional innovation efficiency is negative.
