Abstract

This paper discusses the purpose, step and tools of mathematical modeling and mathematical experiment and emphatically states that Strictly speaking, finding the solution of mathematical model belongs to mathematics not mathematical modeling. Main tool of mathematical experiment is mathematics and computer as mathematical tool is indirectly used in mathematical modeling. As for mathematical experiment itself, its main purpose is to supplement studying mathematics while main purpose of mathematics is to study and learn mathematics by computer.
