Abstract
Using technology of geographic information system (GIS), an urban traffic database management system has been established. Using this system, traffic data can be put into database, spatial and attribute data can be edited, statistics data can be gained. Users can dawnload data from the spatial database. Map printing and history data management functions are included in this system. The design and performance technology of traffic database management system have been analyzed. System framework, functions and development model based on ArcGIS Engine has been discussed.
