Abstract
The phosphorus reserve capacity and nutrition utilization characteristics of Microcysti aeruginosa and Chlorella vulgarism were comparatively studied with different ratios of nitrogen and phosphorus in static laboratory tests based on their growth. The results show that the two kinds of algae both have the ability to absorb the phosphorus in water and store it in their bodies during their initial growing periods. With their growth and changes in their environment, the algae will timely release the phosphorus in the body into the water for the breeding of cells. However, the phosphorus release and growth patterns of Microcysti aeruginosa and Chlorella vulgarism under these nutrition conditions with different ratios of nitrogen and phosphorus exhibit certain differences.Accordingly, when the phosphorus is regarded as the monitoring index for whether water bloom will occur or not,the hidden characteristics of the phosphorus in the water should be considered. The phosphorus concentration in the water should always be kept at a low level, even in the low-speed growing period,so as to ensure the reduction of the probability of water bloom occurrence.
