Abstract
The photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants diluted in water using titanium dioxide(TiO2) is of vital interest.Fe-doped TiO2/AC photocatalyst is prepared.photocatalytic oxidation of aqueous phenol solutions in the presence of UV illuminated has been studied experimentally. The influences of titanium dioxide loading amount, calcination temperature, calcination time and initial concentration of phenol are investigated. The results indicate that the optimum conditions are titanium dioxide loading amount 22.7wt%,calcination temperature 450 ℃,calcination time 120 min.The photo degradation efficiency was 90% under the optimum conditions in 240 min.Initial concentration of phenol has great effects on photocatalytic reactions. The smaller initial concentration of phenol is,the more easily degradable.
