Abstract
Phosphogypsum is an industrial by-product formed during the wet phosphoric acid process.Based on the testing conditions including leaching media, immersing time, mixing time, and immersing temperature, the leaching properties of soluble phosphorus in phosphogypsum were investigated in detail. The study shows that the soluble phosphorus from phosphogypsum has a very high transferring ability under the conditions above mentioned, and that the long-time disposal of phosphogypsum in sites may lead to serious pollution against environment. The results obtained in this study may provide some valuable information for the phosphogypsum site, such as construction, environmental impacts, and pollution prevention.
