Abstract

Genomic in situ hybridization(GISH)and sequence-related amplified polymorphism(SRAP)molecular markers were used to discriminate the parental genotypes of 20 pro-lily hybrids which may originate from Genomes O,A and L,with unknown parental genotypes.Fourteen hybrids were shown to have only Genome A,indicating that they were Asiatic hybrids;6 hybrids were from Lilium longiflorum, for they had only Genome L;and all the 20 were intraspecific hybrids. No Oriental hybrids(O genome)were detected. The results of GISH were consistent with those of SRAP.Hence, simultaneous application of GISH and SRAP can not only make the identification results more reliable, but also provide a new approach for the determination of the parental genotypes of hybrid offspring of lily.
