Characteristics of Danxia geomorphology of Chengde and its tourism value

The Chengde Basin is located on the margin of North China plate,and in the eastern section of the Yanshan orogene.During the long geologic history,a lot of geologic relics were produced in the area,among which the Danxia Landform is the most typical.In the light of the analysis of petrologic characteristic,structural condition,climate condition,the condition of development of the Danxia Landform in the area were illuminated,characteristic of development,classification,evolvement of the Danxia Landform were summarized in the paper.By contrasting the typical Danxia landforms in other areas,the comparability and difference were studied,and the reasons for formation of the Danxia Landform were analyzed.And its tourism value was analyzed.
