Postmodern Dimension of Contemporary West Environmental Ethics

Postmodern philosophy comprehensive deconstructed modernity,while demonstrating eco-postmodernism with a constructive creativity.The contemporary west environmental ethics demonstrates postmodern dimension at least in several respects,such as its criticism,basic perspectives,ways of thinking,frames of concepts and verbalism.It challenges modernity in relationship between man and nature and it offers a new way to help man get rid of ecological crisis.However,the post-modern dimension of environmental ethics is not able to avoid theoretically disadvantages of relativism,and not able to differ from West-center theory and the rich people's ethics.Therefore, contemporary west environmental ethics would have to be improved as far as its reasonableness and efficiency are concerned.
