Discussion on Smart Substation Information Model

Information model is the kernel part of IEC 61850 standard and the foundation of the smart substation development and construction.The application status of information model of smart substation is summarized and discussed in three aspects,namely,the deletion of model,the extension of model and the conformance test of model.Also,the problems caused by lack of united information model existing in smart substation construction is described in three aspects such as: auxiliary device,power quality and stability control.The application prospect of the information model in smart substation is shown in three aspects such as: application of the IEC 61850 Ed2.0 standard,the model coordination between IEC 61850 and IEC 61970,the function model application.It is in favor of later construction and development of the smart substation.
