Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the sentinel lymph node biopsy in the surgical treatment of early breast cancer. Methods 76 cases of early breast cancer patients undergoing SLNB with Methyleneblue in our hospital from January 2010 to November were analyzed retrospectively about pathology of SLNB and axillary lymph node dissection. Results There were 70 cases SLN in all patients. The detection rate of SLNB was 92.1%.The accurate rate, sensitivity of SLNB and false negative rate respectively was 95.7%(67/70),87.8%(36/41)and 7.3%(3/41). Its false positive rate was 0. Conclusion Due to the high accuracy of SLNB,the axillary lymph node metastasis of early breast cancer can be predicted and judged. SLNB should be widely applied.
