Abstract
A microstrip bandstop filter with new EBG unit was presented in this paper.The relations between the bandstop filter transmission characteristic and the EBG dimensions were analyzed and confirmed by the results of simulation with HFSS and an actual bandstop filter manufactured with FR4 board.The measured results and simulation results are consist,which shows that the EBG structure is feasibility to construct bandstop filter.
