Abstract
The paper mainly presents the theme on offshore drawworks(DW) heave compensation system through the following aspects:system characteristic,working principle,power consume,motor selection,etc.The drawworks has the function of active heave compensation except the normal hoisting function and can eliminate the impact on drilling work when the floating platform move up and down.This DW can instead of the other heave compensation equipments.There are many predominances on the DW heave compensation system,such as simple driven device,outstanding efficiency,the small cubage,the less weight,the low cost,and so on.The function of drilling drawworks and heave compensation equipment are integrated to one unit,hence the offshore drilling drawworks can be widely used in the floating drilling platform.
