Abstract
Along with rapid urbanization and industrial transfer in China,quantities of the left contaminated sites have been increasing from relocation of industries and enterprises in the nation.Management and remediation of the sites require urgently for a safe residence,human health and social stability.This paper reviews in general contaminated site occurrences,status and risks,progresses and remained problems in site management,remediation technologies development and engineering applications,and needs for policies,technologies and financing mechanisms in prevention and remediation of the contaminated sites,aiming at a best management practices and remediation industry promotion for contaminated land.
