Relationship Between Sculpture and Architecture

In the teaching of the sculpture,we often meet with the problem of the relation between sculpture and architecture.The history of sculpture and architecture and the influence between them are discussed in this article.Sculpture and architecture are closely related to each other.The sculpture art,especially the modern Abstract sculpture art,has far-reaching and ingrained influences on modern architecture.The architecture is imbued with soul by the sculpture,which makes architecture more like sculpture and monument,and visually more striking.Some architecture even directly pursues the language of sculpture.The sculpture work serves as an indispensable foil to architecture and environment,which plays the significant role of touching the finishing point in architecture,and makes the architecture more magnanimous.It is the sculpture that brings beautiful language and nobleness to the architecture,and it is the architecture that gives the reason for sculpture to exist.
