Abstract

The reaction of α ketohemithioacetal with semicarbazide and thiosemicarbazide were studied. The mono or disemicarbazone can be obtained by the control of the ratio of α ketohemithioacetal and semicarbazide. The same result was obtained from the reaction of thiosemicarbazide. The structure of products were confirmed by IR, NMR, MS and elemental analysis.
