Abstract
With the development of vitreoretinal surgical techniques and expanding of surgical indications,a large number of patients underwent pars plana vitrectomy( PPV). However, the incidence of secondary cataract also increased. The technology of traditional cataract phacoemulsification cannot satisfy the needs of cataract patients who underwent PPV. This review focuses on the technical ease, surgical procedure, and prognosis of phacoemulsification after PPV.
