Abstract

The endoscopic third ventriculostomy(ETV) and ventriculo-peritoneal shunt(VPS) are the most prevailing surgical treatmens in clinical practice,ETV is the preferred method in treating obstructive hydrocephalus;but the VPS is supposed to treat communicating hydrocephalus.This article reviews the recent advancement about surgical treatment of hydrocephalus.
