Evaluation on ecological adaptation of landscaped bamboo species in Nanjing

Abstract

According to the requirements of Nanjing urban greening,the growth and resistance indexes were chosen to analyze and evaluate the ecological adaptation of 55 species of bamboo in the bamboo garden of Nanjing Forestry University with the method of Set Pair Analysis.The results showed that,in the sympodial bamboo species,the Neosinocalamus f.viridiflavus had a better ecological adaptability in Nanjing,the adaptability of Bambusa multiplex 'fernleaf' was poor,Bambusa multiplex 'alphonse' and Bambusa multiplex were in medium.In the monopodial and mixed bamboo species,Indocalamus herkelotsii,Oligostachyum lubricum,Phyllostachys circumpilis,Pleioblastus juxianensis,Pleioblastus Yixingensis,Pleioblastus chino,Pleioblastus gramineus,Pseudosasa japonica,Pleioblastus gozadakensis,Sasa pygmaea,Sasa fortunei,shibataea chinensis had better ecological adaptability,whereas the adaptability of Phyllostachys sulphurea,Phyllostachys bambusoides,Hibanobambusa tranpuillans f.shiroshima and Qiongzhuea communis were poor,the other bamboo species were in medium.
