Analyze and Process Indicator Contents of Urban Thematic Map

Abstract

Choosing indicators of thematic map is the prerequisite of designing and processing of thematic maps.This paper firstly analyzes the characteristics of thematic statistic data and then comprehensively considers the viable and diverse presentation of thematic map.Finally,a complete set of method using in analyzing and processing urban indicators of thematic maps is proposed.This method employs the IST model to describe the contents of thematic indicators.This method is the basic work to identify the themes of thematic maps and establish the thematic content structure.
