A Study of Maogusi Ceremony Functions of Tujia Nationality from the View of Anthropology

Maogusi ceremony is the thumbnail image of the rich culture of Tujia nationality,which reflects Tujia people's survival and development,history,economy,religion,custom,and above all the audacious sense of existence as well as the spirit of being optimistic and aggressive.Through the investigation of Shuangfeng Village,Daba Town,Yongshun County,Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture,the authors find that the ceremony not only traces and hands down the history of the nationality,but also performs functions of conveying ethics,keeping in existence and enhancing national cohesion,and others.
