Abstract
The main material to fill the subgrade in desert areas is the aeolian sand whose compaction quality could strongly affect the intensity and stability of highway. The impact laws for aeolian sand compaction due to moisture content, particle size distribution, amplitude, vibration frequency and vibration time and so on are studied here by heavy compaction test and vibration test and theoretical analysis,so as to guide the construction of subgrade. There are differences in the maximum dry density due to various experiment means. The reasonable range of experiment is also limited here in order to truly value the quality of subgrade by compaction degree.
