Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the moleculobiologic mechanism of Chinese medicine(benefiting-qi,dissolving-phlegm and removing-toxin) in the treatment of fatty liver.[Methods]Steatohepatitis rat models were established by feeding with high-fat diet and alcohol.Sixty rats were randomly divided into normal control, model group,Chinese medicine group and Dongbaogantai group. After four weeks of treatment, serum APN,leptin,OB-R mRNA and TNF-α in liver tissue were tested respectively.[Results]The serum leptin concentration in the model group was higher than the normal group, meanwhile the expressions of APN and OB-R mRNA were significantly decreased(P0.01).After the Chinese medicine treatment, all the factors involved were improved and the effect was significantly better than Dongbaogantai(P0.01).[Conclusion]Chinese herbal medicine with benefiting-qi,dissolving-phlegm and removing-toxin could treat fatty liver effectively through elevating APN and increasing the OB-RmRNA expression of the liver tissue.
