Reevaluation of Zhu Yuanzhang's Contributions and Historic Posit ion

In the academic field, the evaluation of Emperor Mingtaizong, Zhu Yuan zhang, and his contributions as well as his historic position is different. Zhu united the whole nation after overthrowing the Yuan Dynasty, strengthened the ce ntralization of authority, stabilized the society, coordinated the productive re lation, and recuperated and developed economics so his reign was called Hongwu Period, which was inherited by the Qing Dynasty, and which lays a solid foundat ion to the later development of the Ming Dynasty. Zhu also formulated a series o f administrative rules and regulations that served as tools to govern the subjec ts of the Ming Dynasty successfully and was carried on by the Qing Dynasty. This paper considers Zhu Yuanzhang as a positive role in Chinese history who can mat ch any great emperor such as Emperor Qinshihuang, Emperor Hanwudi, Emperor Tangt aizong and Emperor Songtaizu.
