Abstract
This paper studies the mechanical behavior of cable-stayed arch bridge and the differences of internal force distribution between the bridge and normal arch bridge. Through analytical calculations, fairly good results of the internal force of the arch structure of the bridge optimized by the stay cables are obtained. By comparative studies of the bridge and the normal arch bridge, and by analysis of inclination angle parameter changes of the stay cables, the paper works out the mechanical behavior and economy of the bridge, which may serve as reference to the design and alterative selection of such new type of the bridge.
