Enlightenment from Sino-French Program of Training for Chinese General Practitioners

Now it is the crucial period of health care system reform in China.Enhancement of construction of primary health care service system so as to make it play a better role in primary health care and public health services,which is one of the objectives of health care reform.In order to achieve the aim,government and the whole society have set a high standard for community health personnel,especially general practitioners.In this paper,through introducing the basic information of Sino-French program of training for general practitioners,and summarizing the successful experience of the training,put forward several respects where Chinese general practitioners′ cultivation needs to be improved,including the fully-understanding the role and connotation of general practitioner,enhancement of establishment of teaching materials for the training,improvement of class teaching methods,perfection of evaluation system,and enhancement of training quality control,which aim to further the development of general medicine education and community health services.
