Abstract
Objecticve:To study high strength field MR characteristics of spinal cord ischemia. Methods:The model of spinal cord ischemia caused by cervical anterior spinal artery injury was established in canines.Correlated with the pathologic findings, the characteristics of signal intensity of the postischemic spinal cord were observed. Results:After cervical anterior spinal artery injury, the MRI characteristic showed that the abnormal signal intensity of MRI on the cross section was revealed in one side of the spinal cord, and on the sagittal view it was showed in the anterior region of spinal cord. Conclusions:MRI reveals abnormal signal intensity of spinal cord ischemia.MRI can be beneficial to diagnosis of spinal cord ischemia in clinical practices.
