Abstract
The optimizing method of feed-rate for face profile parts in NC machining was proposed based on the theory of curvature matching,it is to describe the complex free curve approximately by using relative simple curve,to build the simplified machining model,to do some experiments and gather the best feed-rate value under specific machining condition. To calculate the characteristic parameters(radius of curvature and normal vector) of every cutting contact point on machining geometric locus, match to the simplified model according to the radius of curvature and normal vector, and optimize the feed-rate through linear interpolation in every sector, the self-control of feed-rate with the changing of machining geometric locus was realized.
