Abstract

Tiger is famous for its bravery and becomes a symbol of power and stateliness,offered respectfully as an original totem by ancestors of Yi people,becoming the tiger ancestor patron saint for Yi people to exorcise and welcome fortune.Tiger festival is an important part of tiger culture of Yi people.For Chines culture,tiger as a symbol of culture is more meaningful than the external worship of its bravery and flower pattern.Chinese tiger culture has a multiple combination,with long history,rich content,various forms and a special glamour.As a kind of culture,the nationality spirit it represents is the reason for worship of Yi people.
