In the course of editorial discovery,editorial aesthetic consciousness is a kind of dynamic reflection which brings editor subject and aesthetic object in external cultural information as editor object into contact.It counteracts cultural unified activities that run through whole editing and publishing course through impacting actively state of mind of editorial discovery.Its essential factors of psychological form have mainlyfour kinds:aesthetic mental perception through sensory organs,aesthetic imagination,aesthetic emotion and aesthetic understanding.And the role of aesthetic consciousness in the course of editorial discovery embodies mainly three aspects:exploition of subject or topic selected,reading and evaluating manuscripts and the layout of pictures and article designing of books,etc.
