Abstract
Based on the study of the leftturn lane stop line, this paper discusses the relationship between the position of stop line and both the change interval and the saturation volume, which are the two critical influence factors of an intersection capacity. In the precondition of gurantecing the safety when vehicles cross the intersection, a model with the parameter of the distance between the leftturn lane stop line and the through lane stop line is constructed in order to achieve the maximum of capacity, and the relative solution is offered. Last, through taking an actual intersection for instance, the thesis seeks the best position of the stop line, which proves that the model has good practicality
