Huang Zun-xian′s Nation-state Thought after the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895

This article summarizes Huang Zunxian′s nation-state thought which is mainly manifested in these poems about the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895.First,Chinese nation must oppose imperialism by the entire national power,and foster Chinese nation-state idea.Second,Chinese must distinguish the traditionalloyaltyandrighteousnessfrom the modern national idea;and cultivate the new Chinese ethos.Third,after the war,he still persisted the nationality peaceful coexistence,and defeated the racialism.
