Abstract

Objective To study the expressions and significance of interleukin-32(IL-32) in lung tissues of mice with pulmonary fibrosis(PF) induced by bleomycin. Methods Seventy-two male mice were randomly divided into three groups with 24 rats each. The mice were given intratracheal instillation of bleomycin in groups of A and B.Normal saline was used instead of bleomycin in control group C.The mice of group A were injected abdominally with dexamethasone 5mg/kg every day.On the 3rd,7th,14th and 28th day after administration,6 mice of each group were sacrificed and the lung tissues were harvested.Immunohistochemical staining and pathological examing of lung tissues were performed and the IL-32 expression of lung tissues was detected with Western blotting.ResultsDynamic changes from alveolitis to pulmonary fibrosis could be observed in group B.The expression of IL-32 in lung tissues was higher in group B than that in groups of C and A(P0.01).ConclusionThe expression of IL-32 protein is highly expressed, which may be related to bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in the early and middle stages.
