Abstract

Password is the most widely used in ID authentication.Developing dynamic password system is a practical method of improving password security of information system.This paper introduces the brief history of research and implementation of dynamic password.And then a new dynamic password system based on challenge/response mechanism is provided.The proposed authentication system is simple to implement and secure for common Internet appliance without additional hardware involved.
