Abstract

Karyotype of Lethrinus nebulosus was examined from the renal tissue by the PHA-injection-air drying method. The results show that its karyotype formulate is 2n = 48,48t,NF=48.Satellite chromosome, secondary constrictions and sexal chromosome are not found in Lethrinus nebulosus. The karyotype of Lethrinus nebulosus are in accordance with the higher group of fish evolutionary taxonomy.
