Abstract
The hot forging die withstands thermal load and mechanical load in a continuous forging production process.Under their combined actions, the forging die maybe become invalid. The thermal load of die for the car front wheel hub in finally forging forming was numerically simulated by finite element software. The results show that, the thermal load is one of the main causes of forging die failure.Reducing the thermal load of the die in hot forging process can effectively increase the service life of forging die.
