Abstract
The intercalation between epoxy acrylate resin and organic montmorillonite is obtained via solution process. Then the epoxy acrylate resin/organic montmorillonite is prepared by reaction under ultraviolet ray.The intercalation effect of the samples is characterized by XRD diffraction and the rheological property of organic montmorillonite is tested as well as the mechanical behaviors including tensile strength and impact strength of the samples. The results show that the organic montmorillonite has thixotropy, the interlayer space of the organic montmorillonite is enlarged peel off after intercalation and the mechanical behaviors of the sample are improved much even with low content of organic montmorillonite.
