Abstract
This paper first reviews relevant studies on the effects of agricultural credit and fiscal agriculture expenditure on agricultural economic growth, and then constructs a panel data model based on the province-level panel data of China from 1998-2008.With this model, this paper makes an empirical analysis of the influence of agricultural credit, fiscal agriculture expenditure, and their interaction effect on agricultural economic growth. The results show that the fiscal agriculture expenditure has no influence on agricultural economic growth, that the agricultural credit has a positive impact on agricultural economic growth, and that their interaction term has a positive effect on agricultural economic growth. Based on the empirical results, this paper posits policy advice on promoting agricultural economic growth.
