Abstract

Jiaojiang River, the third longest river of Zhejiang Province, has significant research value to the maximum turbidity zone and fluid mud movement due to the typical characteristics of mountain streams in the upper reaches, powerful tidal current in the lower reaches, and the mutual uprising effect of flood and tide in the longer middle reaches. By analyzing the changes of natural conditions caused by construction of some typical projects in Jiaojiang River Basin, the paper presents the sediment response of rivers, with strong tidal and mountainous stream features,to the project construction through consideration on the preliminary study of Lingjiang Sluices Project.
