Present situation of alien species invasion and its effects on economy,society and ecology in Fujian Province

Fujian has become one of the most seriously suffered provinces of alien species invasion. In this review, the quantity, species, geographical origin, distribution, pathway of invasion species, and the characteristic of biological invasion of major invasive species in Fujian were presented. The main reasons for the serious alien species invasion and influences of alien species invasion on ecosystem security,economy and society were discussed comprehensively. Based on the above, strategies of prevention and control on biological invasions were put forward.
